Using Your HSA/FSA for Woojer MAT

Woojer partners with Truemed to help eligible U.S. customers use their HSA/FSA dollars when purchasing the Woojer MAT. This article explains who qualifies, how payments work, and what to expect from Truemed.

Why Using HSA/FSA Saves You Money

HSA and FSA accounts allow you to pay for qualified medical and wellness expenses using pre-tax dollars.
That means more real buying power, instead of paying taxes first and spending what’s left, you invest the full pre-tax amount into your health.

Contribution limits:

  • HSA: Up to $4,150 (individual) / $8,300 (family) per year, plus $1,000 if age 55+

  • FSA: Up to $3,200 per year, plus $500 in employer-provided contributions

What Are HSA and FSA Accounts?

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are benefit programs that let you set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible healthcare purchases.
If you’re unsure whether you have one, check with your employer or insurance provider.

Can I Use My HSA/FSA at Woojer.com?

Yes - if you qualify through Truemed, you can use your HSA/FSA specifically for the Woojer MAT.

At checkout:

  • Select Truemed as your payment method

  • Use your HSA/FSA card like a regular credit card

  • If you don’t have enough funds, you can split the payment between your HSA/FSA card and a regular card

Truemed is for qualified customers. Savings vary. Learn more at truemed.com/disclosures.

Can I Use a Regular Credit Card Instead?

Absolutely! If you prefer to pay normally, select your regular credit card at checkout. Truemed will then email instructions on how to submit your receipt for reimbursement.

What Is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?

A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) makes your Woojer MAT purchase eligible as a qualified medical expense under IRS rules. Truemed’s LMN:

  • Is issued by a licensed provider

  • Confirms that your purchase supports treating, mitigating, or preventing a medical condition

  • Fully complies with IRS guidelines for HSA/FSA medical spending

  • Is treated the same way as a visit to the doctor or a prescription purchase

There are thousands of studies showing that exercise, wellness practices, and therapeutic interventions help prevent and manage disease. Truemed validates the need and provides the documentation required for reimbursement.

How Long Does It Take to Receive My LMN?

Usually 2–5 hours. Some cases may take longer depending on the questionnaire. If you can’t find your LMN, check your spam folder or contact support@truemed.com.

Are There Any Fees?

There’s no cost to you when purchasing from a Truemed partner merchant such as Woojer.

When Should I Use My FSA/HSA Dollars?

You can use them year-round. However, most FSA funds expire on December 31 and do not roll over.
Use them before they disappear - use it so you don’t lose it!

Can I Use Truemed Outside the U.S.?

Unfortunately, no. Truemed is currently only available in the United States.

I Don’t Have an HSA/FSA. Can I Still Use Truemed?

Truemed’s services are only for individuals who currently have an HSA/FSA or plan to fund one during open enrollment.
If you’re unsure, ask your employer about available benefit options.
